Petra Borner was born in Kalmar, Sweden in 1973, and has been based in London since 1994.

Since graduating in Fashion Design at Central St Martins in 1999 she went on to become a fashion designer at Seraph-Sherald Lamden (London) and Susan Cianciolo (NY).
