Founded 2005, Dutch Uncle is an award winning creative management agency with offices in London, New York and Tokyo. We represent and source creative talent for companies looking to commission illustration, design, animation and moving image.

Our client base is worldwide and the artists, illustrators and designers we represent come from either ends of the world with those situated in sunny San Francisco to those on the other side of the globe residing in the fast paced visual capital of the world, Tokyo.

Our relationships with our artists, clients and staff rely on friendships formed with common incentives and collective attitudes.

DU Definition: 'A Dutch Uncle insists on candor, honesty, truthfulness, and asks the tough moral and ethical questions -- before anyone else does. You can be a Dutch Uncle if you care enough about other people and they know you care.'

Tadaomi Shibuya's use of straight lines and shadows transcends into some really original artwork. He creates a perfect sense of balance with his geometric patterns. Born in Yokohama, Tadaomi graduated college with a degree in product design, and began working as an illustrator/designer/artist.
Influenced by Hip Hop culture, graffiti & classic Anime & Manga animations, Shibuya has evolved a style with a distinctly urban, sci-fi, mechanical, feel.
He currently lives in Japan.

ARTIST QUOTE

”My art has many straight lines because the straight line is a uniquely human concept. I follow this concept as a basic rule. I am trying to create a futuristic world that is outside of our atmosphere or universe. I am also implying unfairness in the world and a warning to what the world is facing. At the same time, I am trying to have a message of hope, joy and calmness for the future.”
— Tadaomi Shibuya
