For Dior Cruise 2027, Jonathan Anderson has brought the house to Los Angeles for one of the year’s most-watched fashion moments.

As part of the build-up, Javi Aznarez was specifically chosen by Jonathan Anderson to create the collectible city guide based on his favourite places in Los Angeles.
Each postcard perforates as its own card, but when opened out, the full set becomes one long illustrated scene. The locations include Gagosian, Hauser & Wirth, The Broad Museum, The Getty Museum, Rodeo Drive, Chateau Marmont, Beverly Hills Hotel, Sunset Tower, Bar DiBello, Max and Helen’s, Musso & Frank Grill, plus a Cadillac as a visual detail.
Javi Aznarez, a Spanish illustrator represented by Dutch Uncle, is already known internationally for his work with Wes Anderson on The French Dispatch, where his illustrations helped shape the film’s detailed, cinematic world.
That made him a great fit for Dior’s LA story. Javi’s work is full of architecture, characters, cars, streets, humour and small details. He turns real places into lively illustrated worlds.
The commission came direct;y from the Christian Dior Couture graphic design studio in Paris.
It was a perfect LA mix: art galleries, museums, hotels, restaurants, Beverly Hills glamour, old Hollywood references, palm trees, cars and sunshine.
The hype around Dior Cruise 2027 had already been building. Jonathan Anderson teased the show with new accessories, the invitation, the Javi Aznarez illustrated guide and a newspaper-print bag that pointed back to one of Dior’s most famous archive moments from the John Galliano era.
With Dior and Jonathan Anderson now added to Javi’s growing luxury client list, Javi Aznarez is fast becoming one of the year’s standout illustrators. His work feels right for this moment: human, cinematic, detailed and full of personality.
