Noma Bar x Foscarini (NYCxDESIGN)

There are some artists whose work lives beyond the wall. In fact it changes the way you might look at the wall. Noma Bar is one of them.

Noma Bar x Foscarini Lamps

This collaboration with Foscarini, unveiled at NYCxDESIGN, feels like a natural extension of how Noma already thinks. Strip things back and say more with less. Then hide something in plain sight until the light is turned on.

Noma’s work thrives on the second glance. That precise moment where the image shifts and reveals itself. Placed within Foscarini’s SoHo showroom, that instinct opens up into something spatial. You move through the room and the compositions respond. Forms emerge, lock together, then dissolve again.

It becomes physical.

Foscarini’s lamps play an active role in that experience. They frame. They interrupt. They cast just enough light to push the illusion forward. Object and image start to speak to each other. Quietly, but with intent.

What lands is the clarity. No excess. No noise. Just ideas, distilled and executed with confidence. Noma trusts you to find the image. Or to miss it, then return.

That return is everything.

It also points to something bigger. Illustration as environment. As structure. As something that shapes how a space is read and remembered. For us, this is the sweet spot. When an artist like Noma is given the room to expand, and a brand like Foscarini understands exactly how to support that without overworking it.

A simple idea, elegantly realised: shine a light, look again.
