The Bali Myna, a native bird under the threat of extinction, the Frangipani flower, used for every Hindu ritual in Bali, the rice fields and Mount Agung that define the local landscape all have an important role in Balinese history and belief systems, along with the legend of Manik Angkeran and the Dragon - all these elements are brought together to create an illustration that shows the connection between human and nature, the modern present day and traditional spirituality.
