Adam McCauley is a San Francisco–based illustrator and artist known for his bold graphic style, sharp wit, and inventive approach to visual storytelling. With a career spanning editorial, publishing, and advertising, his illustrations have appeared in The New York Times, Wired, and The New Yorker, as well as in numerous award-winning children’s books. McCauley’s work is distinguished by its clean geometry, vibrant color, and playful yet intelligent sense of humor, often blending mid-century influences with contemporary design sensibilities. A longtime collaborator with author Jon Scieszka, he has received recognition from the Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, and Communication Arts. Beyond his client work, McCauley also teaches illustration and continues to explore personal projects that expand his dynamic visual universe.
